Pure Aesthetics

Kaelen has worked in the health and medical spa industry since 1993 providing herbal wraps, body treatments, facials, cosmetic applications, laser hair removal, and corrective makeup procedures. Her aesthetic experience includes ten years at Canyon Ranch Spa and over five years at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort Spa. She has been an educator for Essensa, an exclusive line of organic skincare products. Her training also includes an apprenticeship with Bliss Spa, New York. Kaelen holds aesthetician licenses in both Arizona and New York, as well as an aesthetic instructor license in Arizona. Kaelen's passion since the early 90s has been seeking out truly natural products. Her desire to increase awareness of ecological responsibility and holistic approaches to health and well being led her to open Pure Aesthetics.

Jennifer holds a BS in Zoology from the University of Rhode Island. She brings eight years of experience working with children and families involved in the Arizona Child Protective Services Program, Pima County Juvenile Court and Children’s Behavioral Health System to the Pure Aesthetics team. Jennifer works in a managerial capacity and recruits new students for the program. She believes in using a strength-based approach when working with students in order to create a supportive environment. She spends her free time with her family cooking and riding bicycles.

Adina is a full-time employee and part-time student at Pure Aesthetics as well as an aspiring actress. She plans to complete the program at Pure Aesthetics and continue her journey to becoming an actress in Hollywood. With her background in skincare she is hoping to work on sets doing make-up until she hits the big screen.

Kandi has had a passion for the field of aesthetics for over 10 years. She has worked for Miraval Life and Balance in the skincare department, providing facials, waxing, cosmetic application and body treatments. She also played a minor role in the Spa as Lead Aesthetician in charge of training, internal education, and daily operations, including product purchasing, inventory,  and relationships with skincare vendors. Kandi has been abroad with a major skincare company for training in St. Millo, France. She has also been involved with a National Branding Company for the creation of a new product line. Kandi's love of education has her continuing in the field of master educator for Pure Aesthetics.

Rachel combines a background in education with a dedication to natural skincare to provide the best quality training possible for our students. She has practiced aesthetics in various settings, including an alternative healthcare center, day spa, and full service salon. Rachel continues to expand her expertise and is committed to professional growth in support of a pure, natural approach to skincare. She also enjoys the challenges of entrepreneurship and maintains a private practice in addition to teaching.

Tamara has worked locally in the Skincare Industry for 26 years, 22 of those years were spent at Canyon Ranch Health Spa providing facials, body treatments, and waxing while leading the aesthetic training program. Tamara’s interest in Aromatherapy and Herbology led her to obtain a degree at the University of Arizona with a major in Plant Sciences. Her love of learning and sharing knowledge brought her to Pure Aesthetics.

Dawn has over 20 years of experience in the spa industry, specializing in the health, beauty and medical fields. She has worked as Lead Aesthetician/Trainer for several destination spas including Miraval Life in Balance, Westin La Paloma and Tucson National. As Para-Medical Aesthetician/Manager for two wellness centers, she was able to integrate her knowledge in preventative health and anti-aging technologies. She was one of the first in Tucson to introduce the facial O2 delivery system using vitanomes to treat the skin. She has been an educator for schools in Arizona and Nevada and continues to hold licenses in both states. Dawn’s artistic background and passion as a Make-Up Artist/Image Consultant has proved her to be an invaluable asset with several companies including Matrix, Lisa Frank, Tucson Lifestyle, and Boomers Children’s Boutique. As an instructor she enjoys sharing her knowledge with others who want to pursue this exciting and diverse field.
